From 21 November to 6 December, the French Riviera will once again become one of the world’s leading meeting points for the international dance community. This year, Dinamica Ballet is proud to be part of the Cannes Dance Festival as a partner of the Giga Dance Barre sessions, an initiative that brings dance closer to the public through open-air gatherings.
Every Sunday during the festival — 22 and 29 November and 6 December — Dinamica Ballet barres will be installed in the gardens of La Roseraie, next to La Croisette, Cannes’ iconic seaside promenade. There, nearly one hundred amateur dancers will take part in a collective warm-up led by guest artists of the festival, sharing technique, movement and a passion for dance in a unique setting overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. For these sessions, participants will train using our Pina double portable ballet barre, chosen for its stability, reliability and suitability for large-group practice.
The Giga Dance Barre sessions offer participants the opportunity to work alongside renowned international dance professionals and experience the atmosphere of the festival from a privileged perspective. The events will feature leading artists and companies, including the Stéphanie Lake Company, Giuseppe Chiavaro, ballet master of CCN Malandain Ballet Biarritz, and Christopher Marney, Artistic Director of London City Ballet.

For us, this collaboration reflects our vision of dance as a space for connection, inspiration and shared growth. For more than twenty years, we have worked alongside schools, conservatories, companies and dancers around the world, developing equipment that supports dance education and daily practice. Seeing our ballet barres become part of an initiative that brings together artists and enthusiasts around a shared passion is both a privilege and an opportunity to continue contributing to the international dance community.
Three Sundays to share the barre with internationally acclaimed artists, train outdoors on the French Riviera and experience the Cannes Dance Festival from the inside. Whether you are a student, an enthusiast or simply someone who loves dance, the Giga Dance Barre sessions offer a unique opportunity to learn, be inspired and take part in a collective experience in an exceptional setting. Participation is free of charge, but places are limited. Book yours and join us in Cannes.
