A ballet barre for dancers of all heights and levels

The adjustable Isa ballet barre is a favourite both in dance schools and for at-home practice. Its 39-cm adjustable range and the excellent stability of its steel bases provide great support for dancers of any age, size and weight.

You can adjust the height of the Isa into 14 different positions with a quick and easy-to-use mechanism. The steel uprights exclusive to Dinamica Ballet’s professional line are firmly clamped onto the bar without the use of screws having to be drilled through the wood, guaranteeing a long life and confidence for your practice.

A flat base or one with wheels: choose which is best for your needs

This barre is part of our line of portable professional ballet barres. It comes with a choice of two types of steel base: one with two wheels that weighs 20 kilos, or one with a flat base that weighs 10 kilos. The base with high-density rubber wheels gives you fantastic stability and allows you to move the barre easily by tilting it 45 degrees to roll it along the floor. The barre with the flat base is lighter, so you can lift it and move it without it touching the floor.

Whichever base you choose, both models come with PVC stoppers to protect the surfaces beneath the barre, including wood floors. If you’re expecting to take your Isa on tour, or if you need to move the ballet barre often, the base with wheels is your best bet; if you’re going to move it occasionally or share it between two people, you’ll likely want to go with the flat base. The total weight of the barre with the wheeled base and a 1.5m bar is 50 kilos; with the flat base it’s 31 kilos.

You have 5 elements: 2 bases, 2 uprights and 1 wooden bar. You should first mount the columns on the bases (A) and then place the wooden beam on the uprights (B). The height regulator (C) will already be assembled upon delivery. The assembly of the base with wheels and the base without wheels is identical.

1. Lay the steel upright on one side. Attach the base into the upright with the bolt and tighten with the Allen key provided. Tighten from the back of the base, the side that will rest on the floor and have the protections. Repeat the process with the second column.

2. Place the two uprights one in front of the other. Untighten all of the screws of both supports. Insert one wooden bar in between the decks of the support. We suggest the bar stand out of the decks by 20- 30 centimeters.Tighten all thes crews using the Allen key making sure that the wooden bar is perfectly and firmly blocked between the two decks.

When moving the barre without wheels, ensure it is lifted off the floor and not dragged. This will prevent damage to your floor and to the rubber stoppers on the bases. To move the barre with wheels, stand at the center of the barre and tilt it by 45° until the wheels are fully touching the floor. Pull it gently until the 2 columns move at the same time, this will avoid any kind of tension on the wooden bar.
