In Martigny, in the Swiss canton of Valais, at the foot of the Alps, AURI DANSE has opened its doors as a new dance school founded by Lauriane Salm, a classical dance teacher with more than fifteen years of teaching experience across different parts of the world, from Switzerland and France to Vietnam and the island of Mayotte, off the coast of Madagascar.

The project was created with a clear focus on providing demanding yet supportive dance education in a professional setting, where every student can discover dance and progress at their own pace. From the first steps of younger children to the more technical work of teenagers and adults, the school offers classical ballet, Modern Jazz and contemporary dance, following a teaching approach rooted in the French tradition and enriched by contemporary and international influences.

Design and functionality for everyday practice

The studio features an elegant, functional and bright practice space, with every element centred around dance. The main classroom is spacious and comfortable, with large mirrors, views of the surrounding mountains and a layout designed for everyday practice.

Our PINA ballet barres complete the space, offering great versatility for training thanks to their double-bar design and wheeled base. A total of eight linear metres of barre have been installed across five supports, which can be arranged according to the needs of each class while integrating naturally into the design of the building.

For Lauriane and her partner Vincent, the equipment needed to meet the demands of everyday practice while fitting seamlessly into the visual identity of the space:

With the opening of AURI DANSE, a new chapter begins for Lauriane Salm, and a new space for dance takes shape in Martigny. At Dinamica Ballet, we are delighted to be part of this new beginning and to contribute, with our ballet barres, to the school’s everyday practice.

The Latvian National Opera, one of the most prestigious cultural institutions in the Baltic region, has long championed excellence in the performing arts from its historic home in the heart of Riga. Within its artistic structure, the Latvian National Ballet has become a key player in the European dance scene, blending classical heritage with a contemporary perspective. For over a century, the country’s only professional ballet company has trained generations of dancers and choreographers, keeping the spirit of ballet alive through passion, discipline, and creativity.

Under the artistic direction of Aivars Leimanis, a central figure in Latvia’s cultural landscape, the company continues to expand its celebrated repertoire while maintaining the highest standards in technical preparation. Leimanis played an important role in the selection process of our ballet barres, strengthening a collaboration that began fifteen years ago and has now been renewed by the Latvian National Opera.

At Dinamica Ballet, we are proud that such a respected institution has chosen our products once again. Our height-adjustable ISA ballet barre and the professional Avant model have been added to four existing Maurice premium barres. These barres now equip their rehearsal studios, offering the dancers the safety, stability, and freedom of movement required for daily training and touring.

Today, principal dancers like Yuliya Brauer and Elza Leimane shine both in Latvia and internationally, while renowned choreographers such as Edward Clug, Krzysztof Pastor, and Aivars Leimanis himself shape a repertoire that evolves without losing its artistic roots. We thank Leimanis once again for choosing our products, and we are truly grateful to the Latvian National Opera for its trust since 2011. We hope our barres will continue to support the growth and international reach of the Latvian National Ballet.
