The Centre Chorégraphique de la Ville de Strasbourg project
The Centre Chorégraphique de la Ville de Strasbourg is a public arts institution that operates as a Communal Conservatory. It welcomes a range of ages from children as young as four, all the way up to adults and offers non-professional training in dance and body techniques.
Children are offered an initiation in dance that begins with a “physical awakening”. They are then taught a curriculum giving guidance to allow them to develop their choreographic culture and acquire an artistic identity of their choosing: ballet, contemporary or jazz. A free practice in these different dance styles is also offered to adults, including afro jazz to Latin dances (in ladies style or dance couples). The centre also offers training in a number of body techniques: Pilates, yoga-Pilates, hatha yoga, classical barre-à-terre and contemporary.
We´re very pleased to have been chosen to equip the centre with our MAURICE portable ballet barres and we´re proud our products are helping to train and develop students at the Centre Chorégraphique de la Ville de Strasbourg.
